Whatever your hopes of therapy and life, I will work alongside you to get things moving in the direction you prefer. I adapt my approach, drawing on multiple models, ideas and research findings, to try to create a good fit for you and use your ongoing feedback to help me to do this. I consider relationships to be an important part of how we interact with life, whether that be current relationships with others, key relationships in the past or our relationship with ourselves or problems which come along.

As a BPS Chartered Health Psychologist I support people with health-related behavioural change. This might be supporting people with making a healthy lifestyle change, or living with a long-term condition. I have worked with people living with a range of long-term health conditions including obesity, psoriasis, kidney disease and multiple sclerosis. Change topics have included but are not limited to, weight management, eating, physical activity, smoking, alcohol consumption, sleep, and stress management. I work with multiple health psychology theories and therapeutic approaches in an integrated way so that support is individualised and tailored to you and the issues you are facing.

I offer counselling and psychotherapy to individuals (young people/adults) who may have identified specific personal difficulties and/or want to understand more about themselves in order to allow choice, change, and movement in life.
I work with a number of issues, ranging from anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship problems, and personality disorders. My aim is to work with the person rather than the diagnosis.

We all struggle at times and you don’t have to do it alone. I aim to provide a welcoming, non-judgemental, confidential space to explore whatever is impacting you. I am an integrative psychotherapist which means I am able to be flexible in my approach and tailor it to the person I am working with and the issues that they are currently facing. I offer face to face or remote sessions in Nottingham City Centre.

I offer a warm, safe and confidential space for you to share your story and explore what’s happening for you. Whether that’s something that’s happening now, or something that happened in the past, I’m here to listen and to help you make sense of your experiences.
I work with all types of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, bereavement, trauma, abuse, and relationship issues, but I have particular experience of working with young adults, people impacted by suicide, and people recovering from a difficult childhood.
I hold a master’s degree in counselling and psychotherapy and have previously researched men’s mental health. I offer in-person sessions here in Bebington and online via Doxy.

As your counsellor, I can help you by listening to whatever is troubling you the aim being to help you explore and understand the events or situation that have prompted you to seek help. I can help you explore any kind of problem, whether it is trying to make sense of a past life experience that is causing you some emotional pain, or a current problem that you are finding hard to cope with on your own, or perhaps a fear of something in the future which is holding you back. I strongly believe that having a safe space to talk, without judgment, can help you get clarity and empower you to move forward and make clear decisions about what you can do to improve your life.

I work as part of a team of online specialist clinical psychologists. We use technology to maximise each session you have and keep you well. We divide ourselves up into areas of expertise – so if you’ve experienced something traumatic, for example, the best professional care you can receive is from a clinical psychologist who has chosen to specialise in trauma. My expertise is OCD, BDD and obsessional and anxiety difficulties, such as perfectionism.

Hi, I’m Vauna. You can see me for online sessions on Zoom, from 10 am to 10 pm (UK time) on weekdays. I specialise in psychotherapy for neurodivergent adults (autism, Aspergers, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, alexithymia, PDA). I also help people experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, lack of motivation/performance, difficulties in relationships, workplace issues, and lack of direction. I can also provide coaching for executive functioning improvements (organisation, planning, achievements). You do not need to have a diagnosis of anything. If you feel that you’re different, that’s all that’s needed to know that you are in the right place, with a professional who can understand and work with you to get your life the way that you want it.

In my approach, I place importance on exploring the root cause of the problem and provide an affirming therapeutic space to facilitate change. A therapeutic relationship that is accepting and non-judgmental makes space for growth and healing. Psychotherapy and counselling invites an exploration of challenging past experiences and focuses on processing the feelings we hold as a result of these experiences. At the heart of our work together we will seek to understand our emotions and work alongside them. As we work through the foundations of patterns, behaviours, and feelings in a safe and supported environment, we gain greater insight into ourselves, this is where we can make significant change.

I believe that within us we all have the answers to life’s problems and our difficulties. Sometimes though, it can be hard to access these answers on our own and it can be helpful to have someone like me to help you to find them. I am pretty good at helping people to find answers, coping strategies, solutions, direction and hope. I would be happy to help you and am confident that together we will find a way forward.
I offer counselling and supervision to help you see your life from a different perspective and to work through any issues or blocks which might be preventing you from enjoying your life, relationships and work as fully as may be possible.

I work using the Person-Centred (or Humanistic) approach, which is often referred to as the “how does that make you feel?” style of therapy. However, a more accurate description would be I focus on building a supportive relationship where we can view the world from your perspective, and we work together to make changes that you want. I believe that you are the expert in your own life and have the ability to solve your own problems but recognise that sometimes an “outsiders” support and perspective can be helpful. I aim to create a non-judgmental safe space to explore your world using empathy, honesty and unconditional positive regard helping us to work through the thoughts, feelings and issues that are impacting you.
